Ana María Reyes Does NOT Live in a Castle

About the Book

Her last name may mean “kings,” but Ana María Reyes REALLY does not live in a castle. Rather, she’s stuck in a tiny apartment with two parents, three sisters, everyone’s friends, and her beloved piano–which she never gets to practice. And with a new baby coming, there’ll be even less space and time for Ana María.

Then she hears about the Eleanor School, New York City’s best private academy. To win a scholarship, Ana María must nail her performance at the city piano showcase–which means she has to practice, no matter what. But a family trip to the Dominican Republic, new friends, and a near calamity all drive her to think about what’s really important, and make a choice no one would expect.

Ana María Reyes may not be royal, but she’s certain to come out on top!
